Review from Polish website: Metal.Pl- http://metal.pl/recenzja.php?id=1777
"This is trash metal that i like! With clean, but a bit hoarse vocal,
possessing new powerful sound, and finally including the most important factor
(element) - energy! What is missing at some veterans music, is visible in huge
amounts in the music of this young Brazil team.
Violent Phoenix is the second EP of Reviolence. This EP contain four compositions,
one of them is half minute instrumental interlude. One thing that is irritate
me on this record, well at least kind of irritate me, is quite big number of
heavy metal incantations appears mostly in solo parts, like in the prelude to
"About Angels And Demons" or in mentioned instrumental "The Annunciation".
Unfortunately this kind of display absolutely doesn't convince me. However their
presence is rewarding by powerful riffs, like in title song. Reviolence doesn't
avoid from well known from Slayer's more punk moments, which definitely turns
to theirs account.
All of this remind me a bit of Grip Inc. Maybe because of that vocal? Nevermind.
The point is, that Violent Phoenix is really respectable piece of metal sounding.
Heavy, impulsive and also melodious music.
I recommend it!
