2) How did you find that name, Reviolence ?
Edson: Reviolence is the name that the old band member, the guitar player Marcello
Ivanov give to the band. Is a good name, one word of archaic English, something
similar violence in cycles.
3) Was it your will to have a band with a pre-defined style ?
Cliff: Actually, this has flown naturally because our own influences that go
from Black Sabbath to Kreator.
4) 15 000 downloadings in a year for your first EP In
Pieces, we can say it's a big succes ! Who's got the idea to put all songs on
your website ?
Cliff: The whole band decided because we know the web is a big way to show the
songs to the world.
Edson: This is the new way for the bands spread the sound around the world, many bands of world can trade tracks and information with another peoples, this is great!
5) When your second EP, Violent Pheonix has been officially
out ? How was it welcomed by the people ?
Cliff: We only put the songs on the web so far.We are scheduling some dates
to the official release. People are enjoying and we are having a great feedback.
Edson: We have a big download stuff in our website, and ion our myspace page , I thanks the people for this!!
6) We can find influences from 80's Heavy Metal just
like Thrash Metal such as Kreator. But you're not a copy of these bands at all
!! How do you react to this kind of comparisons, do you like it or not ?
Cliff: As I told you our influences are many.When there is a comparison we feel
proud because they are bands we listen to since we were kids.
7) Carlos' voice is really great on a song like « Abduction »
where you succesfully pull off a song that Jeff Waters wouldn't denied ! What
are your biggest influences ?
Edson: Carlos have influence of singers like James Hetfield and Dio.
8) We feel a strong alliance enter rhythmic and solos, would there be a strong
alchemy between Chico Crestana and Guilherme Spilack ( guitars )?
Cliff: Yes, and this surprised us, because is difficult this feeling between
two great guitar players.
Edson: Today, we have many reviews around the world saying good words about this guys, are new revelations in Metal scene.
9) I've seen you are preparing an album this year, is-it
true ?
Cliff: We’re finishing the songwritings and we’re planning to enter
the studio abou June this year.
10) How are you doing in Brazil ? Do you achieve to tour there ?
Cliff: Not yet, we are lauching the EP on the web, and as soon as we get the
entire albun ready, we ‘re gona start touring.
11) How is the Thrash Metal scene there ?
Cliff: We have great bands , but we don’t have the necessary structure,we
have some support from magazines, websites.I believe we can grow up.
12) How will sound the nex album like ? Will it help
you to sign a record deal with a record company ?? Did you already try this
manover with Violent Pheonix ?
Cliff: We are spreading as much as you can the songs, and during this time,we
already had some proposals from small record companies.We are analyzing some
of them, but our focus is to finish the album.
13) Edson, who are you favourite drummers ?
Edson: Well, I play drums since 1983, and in this time I saw many good drummers
in the Metal Scene, but I have some names for say for you…Scott Travis,
Bill Ward, Nicko Mc Brian…but the real monsters are Gene Hoglan and Dave
Lombardo.
14) If you had to choose a band, which one would it be ?
Cliff: Motorhead.
Edson: WASP
15) Did you know that Spellbound is the last song of AC/DC's For Those
About To Rock (We Salute You) ; what does this name represent for you ?
Cliff: I have this album, and the only thing I can say, is that is great name!
Edson: This song make me remember when I was a kid, a little Metal boy living in one little city of my country, this track is part of my youth.
